#12 Not Enough M&A Activity in Web3
December 17, 2024•139 words
There's still not enough M&A activity happening in Web3 in general. The most recent the HUG acquisition by .Art reminded me of that.
I believe M&A activity is necessary component of healthy ecosystem that works for the long term benefit of all participants. There needs to be a way for founders and teams to exit, to merge and join other teams they align with which have complementary skills or audiences. It's just natural option for growth or changing directions.
Also, M&A is never dumb money; it's usually way smarter money than your average VC, so it adds to professionalism. It's also short-to-mid-term focused money, so it adds speed to ecosystem growth.
What do you think? - Any interesting M&As you've came across in Web3?
